Giving more students the chance to succeed.

When a student lacks school supplies, learning becomes even more challenging. That’s why JAM has participated in the Backpacks 101 Project. Since 2014, we have donated over 900 backpacks filled with school supplies to provide disadvantaged children in West Toronto with the tools to succeed

In 2022, we brought Backpacks 101 global when we arranged for 101 school-ready backpacks to be delivered to children at a local preschool in Buga, Colombia. In 2023, we engaged a seamstress in San Jose to craft 125 backpacks designed to withstand the local climate and delivered them filled with essentials to elementary students in Matapalo, Costa Rica.

It is a beautiful feeling to start the school year off with this positive energy. It doesn't happen that often, especially in these rural areas. Usually, the beginning of the school year is a very stressful and trying time for families. We are very excited!
